Workshop Progress Report - Internal Walls
After spending so much time grovelling at ground level, constructing and erecting the internal walls has seemed a relatively quick and easy task - as I half expected. As you can see, I've positioned posts at either end of the workshop to support a laminated beam running its full length. This beam will support the rafter ends where the gable roof to the left of the post transitions to the skillion roof to the right of the post.
Not surprisingly, it's now much easier to envisage the space I'll eventually have available to work in, and it's with a sense of relief that my doubts as to whether the workshop area will be big enough are beginning to evaporate.
The next step is to install the remainder of the posts around the perimeter of the building. With fine weather forecast for most of the week ahead I'm hoping to make significant progress.
Cheers
Pete
