Workshop Progress Report - Bearers

With the installation of bearers completed, I'm beginning to appreciate just how much work is involved between ground level and floor in a building such as this one.

In the preliminary stages, my imagination was quite naturally focused on the appearance and design of the building itself. In reality - and quite obviously - my workshop cannot exist without a solid foundation in the form of stumps, bearers and floor joists, and there's an ever-increasing investment of money, time and effort before this milestone can be achieved.
